Photographysites.com aims to provide a way for photography websites to share traffic among similar sites. We list sites categorically to provide a thematic photography directory so you can chose from numerous themes including fine art photography, digital, nature and landscape photography and more. The key word here is “share” - the Photographysites lists are ranked by the number of hits sent in from each site. So if you send more traffic in you get more exposure. Some sites put their links on pages in places which never get traffic we believe this is unfair to sites which do send traffic so Photographysites automatically deletes sites which send no traffic in after a month this way you can be assured that the other people in the list will actively be sending people interested in your photography to your website.

How much traffic will you get from Photographysites? good question. We receive over 180,000 unique visitors per month and send out over 400,000 hits of good quality traffic composed of people wanting to see photography sites. This means that many visitors are looking at many sites on the list and the more prominent you are on the list the more traffic you will get. Most sites recieve something like 10 to 30 times the amount of traffic they send in. So if you send in 2 hits per week you might get 20 to 60 hits per week - it really depends on the type of site you have and how competitive the category.

The main requirement we have is that your site is relevant to the category you have selected and that you link back in the way we ask - that is you link should look like this and banner link should include your id code and the text link under the banner should be a straight link back to Photographysites.com. We request both so that your hits are sent in and our site can be found by the search engine robots. These detail are sent to you when you sign up.
