The Wet Plate Collodion Process
Quinn shows (the entire) 19th Century wet plate Collodion process
. He also gives a brief history of the process too. He talks about taking wet plate "on the road (mobile photography).
 
Will Dunniway demos Varnishing the Plate for Wet Plate Collodion during a workshop at the Photographers' Formulary in Condon, Montana. The final step in the Wet Plate Collodion process, Varnishing the developed and fixed image is essential to archival preservation of the photograph. For this weekend project, I've made a Kite Aerial Photography Rig (KAP). This was one of those projects that require remaking multiple times to get it so that it would fly. Ground Fogger Fog Machine with Fog Chiller Test
I thought I'd try something different with a ground fogger. I wondered if it was possible to use a ground fogger with a home-made fog chiller. I used a 400w Ground Fogger that is typically sold at Walmart / Party Warehouse / Costco for about $30 and I made a fog chiller using a styrofoam ice chest from Smart & Final. I used the ground fog juice that was included with the fog machine. I also had 21 lbs of ice. The fog chiller design was based on one I saw on this site:
